Your contribution can help us save Pembroke’s bells. After of the 8 bells in the church of St. Mary’s, Pembroke could no longer be rung, all 8 bells were removed from the tower for safety reasons. They won’t be rung again until restoration work is complete. Bells have rung here since the 1760s but they are now in a terrible state. Notoriously challenging to ring and out of tune, the bells need significant work to save them and make them worthy of the historic Norman tower.
