Moulds for the front six bells.

The plans for a mini ring within the St David’s Guild area are coming together.

The plan is for a fixed ring of 12 bells, tenor weight 25-28 lbs. in F, with the back 8 also being portable. The ring will be based in my garage, with the bells mounted in the roof space and rung from the ground.

The front 6 bells have been cast and are currently awaiting tuning. The back 6 are due to be cast shortly.

There is not much to see in situ at present, the most visible sign being some tentative holes in the garage ceiling for some of the ropes to pass through. The roof timbers, which will form the bell frame, have been strengthened; and plans for positioning and mounting of the bells decided.
