Work continues on the project with successful casting and tuning of the treble. The moulds for all the bells are being 3D printed which enables much finer control over the process. The previously cast bells are now to be recast. This will enable all bells to have an updated profile, to improve their harmonic content. Some of the metal used is to be from an earlier Warners bell. Work continues on the mini ring frame and fittings. The ropes and ceiling bosses have been delivered. The bells will now include an additional flat 6th. This will enable three different sixes and two eights. The lighter eight will be the set available in the portable tower, with a tenor weight of about 10 pounds.Continue reading “Update 25th November 2022”

The plans for a mini ring within the St David’s Guild area are coming together. The plan is for a fixed ring of 12 bells, tenor weight 25-28 lbs. in F, with the back 8 also being portable.
